How trial files work
There are very few restrictions about the trial files. In fact, only two:
- column type must be defined for all trials:use type=test for stimuli presentation
- for experiments
- we also use type=instructions for instructions screens, type=practice for practice trials
- and type=learn for learning trials
- use type=form for form questions
- duplicate columns are not allowed
- Everything else is as flexible and intuitive as possible.
- You can even add your own columns (make sure there are no blank spaces in the name), with further information you consider useful for each trial (e.g. condition name) and those columns will be added to the results files.
